Rating - 8/10
Rick Remender has been rewarded by an excellent run on Uncanny X-Force with a leading series - Uncanny Avengers. Avenger and X-Man side by side as Steve Rodgers looks to reassure humanity about mutants and take the fear away. So which X-Man does he first go to, why if it isn't Havok, the brother of the mutant that tried to kill everyone. Sure i see the sense in that. And that is why I love Rick Remender. It is these little twists that when fully explained make you clap.
The Red Skull has been chosen as the villain for this arc and he sets off in annoying everyone by digging up Professor X and using his brain. Smart choice...great choice. The Red Skull is back and he will piss of everyone. Praying on the weakness of humanity and their hatred for Humans creates a sad tone for Havok to make his mark. However he is able to do that and even manages to get some recognition from one human
John Cassady's art helps the story flow as we are taken from the Scarlett Witch to Thor, all looking elegant yet striking. The end page with Thor bowing down to the Red Skull caps it all off. Wolverine is in there too, (he is everywhere) and when he gets smashed into by Thor - oooooo, tingles.
Well done guys and a 8 out of 10 from me. Liking the start to the series and eagerly wait to see how the relationships evolve
