Early sending off ruins Gunners day
Mike Dean will steal all the headlines for his decision making yesterday, with his first coming in the opening 10 minutes of the match and his last in the final 20 minutes. Both were sending Off but only one was correct.
Laurent Koscielny was sent of for man handling Dzeko in the box, which resulted in a penalty. Correct decision to award the penalty, some view harsh though to send the player off. By the letter of the law the correct decision. Dzeko followed up by missing the penalty. However Man City made the extra player pay off thanks to the hard work and endeavour of James Milner, scorer of the first goal and Pablo Zabaleta. Dzeko scored a tap in to save his blushes and give City a 2 goal lead.
The second sending off, for City captain Vincent Kompnay was the wrong decision. Mike Dean claimed it was 2-footed yet every angle shows that he won the ball, when will they learn. City, as Mancini confirmed will appeal the decision while Arsene Wenger waits to see if his team can challenge for a place in the top four
